Activity during World War Two : Pvt Jos. Henry Mahon was my mother's brother. He died on the first day in the Metz campaign (Oct 19, 1944). He was awarded the Purple Heart and buried at the American Cemetery at St. Avold. I wish I could find someone who knew him or of his death. Serial #13056265.
