Rank : Staff Sergeant

Wounded on September 1, 1944 at Betwwen Metz and Germany (France)

Activity during World War Two :

My Dad was infantry, I am not sure of his regiment or date of wound. He was wounded by a German artillery shell shortly after the 95th took or left Metz. My Mom, his wife, has since passed away also so I lost a valuable info source. My Dad passed away in 1973 in part from head wounds from the artillery shell. Two pieces of the shell were left in his brain due very high risk of death if removed. He died at 54 years of a stroke in this region of the brain.
