Activity during World War Two :

Automatic rifleman in the infantry. He entered battle in Metz, France in 1944 with the 378th and continued with the regiment until wounded by a mortar in Rheinhausen. He was positioned in a bridge tower on the Rhein when he was wounded by a mortar. He received 4 Bronze Battle Stars.

Campaigns : Rhineland.
