Activity during World War Two :

He reported in 1942 to Camp Swift Texas. in 1943 he had made it to Staff Sgt as message center chief. He was transferred out in fall of 1943 before seeing action with the 76th Inf Div. He was awarded 2 purple hearts and bronze star with the 76th.
