Unit : Company L, 377th Infantry Regiment

Rank : Private

Killed on November 26, 1944 at Outside Boulay (France)

Activity during World War Two :

This is all the information I know of right now; this information was given in "the letter" from the commanding infantry officer to my Grandma upon his death. I quote: " Just outside of Boulay, France on 26 November 1944 Company L was attacking an enemy strong point. Pvt Swords was the lead man of the forward elements of the attacking platoon. He was wounded by machine gun fire and was evacuated immediately. On 30 November 1944 he died of the wounds received. ...Pvt Swords was an intelligent man & one in whom much trust and confidence could be placed. ...He did a good job in the performance of his various tasks during his combat days... ."
