Activity during World War Two :

Platoon leader of 2nd Plt, 95th Recon Troop (Mech). Joined 95th in early Summer of 1944 at Ft Indian Town Gap, PA, USA. Deployed with 95th to England and came to France in Fall 1944. Was part of all the campaigns - Uckange, Woippy, Capture and liberation of Metz. Assigned as part of Task Force Bacon for the liberation of Metz. Left Metz and participated in capture of Saarlautern, in the Siegfried Line. Returned to US with the Division, to Camp Shelby, MS. Was in MS, preparing for deployment to Pacific Theater when the US dropped the Atomic Bomb in Hiroshima and Japan surrendered.

Campaigns : Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, Central Europe.
