Unit : Company F, 379th Infantry Regiment

Rank : Staff Sergeant

Activity during World War Two :

My Grandfather was Arthur C Thompson. I have listed him as Staff sergeant as this was his rank when he recieved the 3 bronze stars, but he was later promoted to 2nd, and then 1 st Leiutenent. I believe he also made Capt but do not have the papers to be certain. I also believe he had the Silver star for the battle of the bulge, but only have paperwork shoing 3 bronze. I know he was wounded 2x but again lack documentation. If there is anyone at all who remembers my grandfather, I would love very much to hear any stories about him and or his unit. He was also known as Cat or Tommy being short for Thompson. I do have documentation of the bronze stars, and one picture which I will try to add later.
