Activité pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale :

PFC - 1st scout during Metz campaign and Saarlautern area/Seigfried Line. Promoted in Dec.1944 to Staff Sgt. to lead an infantry squad. Seriously wounded by German "burp gun" near Essen (12 Apr.'45) by squad of SS. Awarded 2nd Bronze Star for killing 8 SS and wounding 1 of the German 9 man squad with two grenades after being wounded. Spent next 34 months in Army hospitals in Germany, England, Scotland and USA. (Would like to be awarded the Metz Medal)

Campagnes : Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, Central Europe.
