The Association Lorraine Etats-Unis honors the actions of Mathieu Gitzhofer

  On November 18, 2006, during the ceremonies of the 62nd Anniversary of the Liberation of Metz by the American Army and in the name of association Lorraine Etats-Unis, presided by Mrs Nieser, the General Faugère, Military Governor of Metz, gave to Mathieu Gitzhofer, in the Living rooms of the Town hall of Metz, a Testimony of Satisfaction particularly to honor him for his actions in the goal to keep friendship between Lorraine and the United States of America.

Ceremony during the 62nd Anniversary of the Liberation of Metz.

 

A ceremony and a deposit of sheaves took place on the Place of Cathedral in order to commemorate the 62nd Anniversary of the Liberation of Metz.

Major Szarke who came from Strasbourg to represent the American Army in front of the Statue of Fayette.
